Technology
The MemPore System for oil recycling consists of three steps:
Pre-treatment removes contaminants such as water, glycol, alcohol, and emulsions.
Nanofiltration is the heart of the system and incorporates a precision membrane that separates the pre-treated oil from undesirable non-hydrocarbon substances at the molecular level, based on their molecular weights.
Polishing removes undesirable oxidized substances that can affect color, odor or create residual particles.
Nanofiltration Membranes
The MemPore System is designed around our unique nanofiltration membranes. Made from durable thermoplastic polymers and backing material that is macro-porous to organic liquids. They are only 0.003 inches thick and can last for at least one year. Porosity is controlled to molecular size and optimized for use with lubricating oil.
The MemPore System
Base configuration processes up to 8.6 million liters per year. Larger configurations available.
Produces Group II base oil that meets all API specifications in terms of both chemical composition and physical characteristics.
System layout requires about 2,500 square feet in total which includes approximately 1,000 square feet outdoors for storage tanks.
No emissions - unlike vacuum distillation.
70% yield of purified base oil from used oil feedstock.
100 degrees C operating temperature.
Fully automated operation.
